FORMER LOBO HEAD COACH, PAT COLLINS, PASSES AWAY AT 84

Pat Collins, who won a national championship as a college head football coach and later spent four seasons coaching the Longview Lobos, died in the early hours of Friday morning.

UIL ANNOUNCES REALIGNEMNT FOR 2026 & 2027
February 2nd, 2026

Longview, Pine Tree, Spring Hill and Hallsville will all see slight changes in their districts for the next two football and basketball seasons following the release of the official district alignments for 2026 and 2027 on Monday.

Longview will compete in District 10-6A again, which added a team and is now an eight-team league. The Lobos will be joined by Forney, Mesquite Horn, North Forney, Rockwall, Rockwall Heath, Royse City and Tyler Legacy.

EAGLES RUN WILD OVER LONGVIEW, 60-28
November 22nd, 2025

DeSoto had a Legend at quarterback, but running back SaRod Baker was the one who put up legendary numbers here Friday.

Baker rushed for more than 200 yards at the half and finished the night with 365 yards and five touchdowns on 22 carries, leading the DeSoto Eagles to a 60-28 win over the Longview Lobos in a Class 6A Division I Area Playoff contest at Waco ISD Stadium.
